Kōtare Group Limited successfully delivered a comprehensive online training package supporting improved battery management practices across the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF).

Developed on behalf of NZDF's Directorate of Engineering and Maintenance Operations (DEMO), we worked with battery and learning specialists in the Prime Contractor Lockheed Martin Global, Inc. (LMGI) to create the SCORM-compliant course.

The course covers the full battery lifecycle from identification and inspection through to charging, storage, transport and disposal. It is designed to be accessible to both technical specialists and casual users across all three services.

It incorporates interactive content, multimedia elements, scenario-based assessments and knowledge-retention evaluation, maximising engagement across a wide cross-section of NZDF personnel.

Kōtare managed a high standard of stakeholder engagement and quality assurance throughout, leveraging the Articulate 360 platform to enable a highly collaborative development process. Regular updates and live reviewer access allowed stakeholders to provide direct feedback on every slide and feature as the course developed. This resulted in a polished, effective final product delivered on time and to a high standard.

It also reinforces our ability to collaboratively work with other suppliers for successful outcomes for Government and Defence.
