Owners Representative
Our first assignment back in 2018 was observing the sea trials, reviewing the Safety Management System and ultimately the delivery of Real Journey's new build 'Rakiura Explorer' from the yard in Mount Maunganui to the homeport in Stewart Island.
Sea Trials
In a first for the New Zealand Defence Force, Kōtare provided a commercial crew for two decommissioned Inshore Patrol Vessels that were being sold to the Irish Naval Service. This involved working with the clients, local equipment providers, Lloyd’s Register classification society and a multitude of other stakeholders.
Care and Custody
On the back of successful Sea Trial support, our personnel were asked to attend Ireland and assist with setting up maintenance routines, equipment recommissioning and familiarisation, and establishing lock-up routines.
